22.02.380 Fee refunds.

The building official may authorize the refunding of any fee imposed by this chapter, which was erroneously paid or collected. The building official shall not authorize the refunding of any fee paid except upon written application filed by the original permittee not later than one hundred eighty days after the date of fee payment. Limits placed on refunds include:
(A) Not more than eighty percent of the permit fee paid when no work has been done under a permit issued in accordance with this chapter; and
(B) Not more than eighty percent of the plan review fee when an application for a permit for which a plan review fee has been paid is withdrawn or canceled before any plan reviewing is done; or
(C) The building official may authorize credit towards the purchase of replacement permits for work destroyed during construction by a natural or manmade catastrophe of up to one half of the original permit fee paid. The amount of the credit shall be pro-rated based on the number of required inspections completed before destruction. (Ord. 3618 § 2 (part), 2008)
