Title 8 LIQUOR AND GAMING LICENSES AND REGULATIONS*
Chapter 8.20 LIQUOR LICENSE REGULATIONS
8.20.020.140 Hotel.
“Hotel” means “resort hotel” as defined in Section
8.04.010 of this code, except when the term is used in conjunction with a
specific license which lists the number of rooms required. “Hotel,”
if not a “resort hotel,” is distinguished from a motel in that a
hotel contains not less than one hundred guest rooms in a single or connected
structure, access to which is controlled through a foyer and hallways; rooms are
let or hired out only to transient guests on a day-to-day basis and do not
contain provisions for cooking in individual rooms or suites. A
“motel” may be composed of more than one structure providing five or
more sleeping rooms to transient guests which provide guest rooms with access
doors opening to the outside. (Ord. L-232-05 § 30, 2005)
